Need Help Finding Replacement Steps

I have a 2007 Forest River Shamrock 21RS Hard Slide. The entry steps need to be replaced but the steps I have been able to purchase at RV repair shops have been about one inch to narrow to fit on the mounting brackets. I don't wat to have to go to the expense of having the brackets changed or replaced and using a step stool in not an option. I'm thinking I need to find out who the manufacturer gets the steps from so that maybe I can order from them? Anyone else have an idea for me?
Thnaks,
Laura

Have you considered putting a wood spacer in between? You could use pressure treated wood so it would last. You may not even be able to see it once the steps are installed. Don't know if this would work, but it sounds like it would on paper!

Do you have 2 or 3 steps. The 3 step are 27" wide and the 2 step are about 25 1/2" wide.
