Need help with television pull-down

In a recent thread, I mentioned I broke the RF lead in the Jensen LCD TV that came with my Surveyor 189. This crappy TV was kinda bulky for an LCD and only 720p, so I replaced it with a Samsung LED 27" 1080p that I bought at Costco. It's much thinner.

In the 189, the TV is mounted on a pull-down bracket in the kitchen area. The old TV blocked a good portion of the countertop (in the down position). The new TV doesn't, as it is much thinner.

Problem is that the new tv is much lighter than the old one. The pull-down mechanism won't stay down in the lower position and wants to go back up in the cabinet.

So I'm looking for ideas on how to adjust the bracket/tension. A link to a manual would be terrific. I think it's also a Jensen part, but can't tell for sure. My other option is to affix some weight to the mechanism to simulate the same weight as the old tv - not preferable, but would probably work.

If you can't get an answer on here, try sending Surveyor a email and ask for instructions on how to adjust the mount. I would think it could be adjusted... I know I'm no help, sorry

I don't have a link to the manual but I would be happy to look in the stack of manuals they gave me when I bought my surveyor and see if there are any instructions. I'll see what I can find tomorrow.
