Have a Garmin 550c and like it. Only drawback is that you can't enter Long/Lat. This would be handy, especially in Mexico.

As I stated earler in this thread after buying the Garmin 750, how much my wife liked the way it works and how easy it is to operate, I just bought a second Garmin 750 for her. The first one was silver in color, now this 750 came in black just like the 760 model. They are both equiped with the same stuff.

Make sure they both have the latest map and software version. I think you have 30 days from purchase to get a free map upgrade.

We went the laptop route using Microsoft mapping and their USB GPS receiver. Seems to work well, although I leave it up to my computer geek wife most of the time. We like the larger map display on the laptop.

The only drawback we see is the size of the laptop, so if you are using it in a small vehicle it may be cumbersome.
