As long as your coach battery has sufficient voltage to carry you through to the next charging, sure.

I would guess so but I've never tried it. We dry camp 3 times a year but recharge with gennie at night or at different intervals during the day only because we need 120 volt power for microwave or something.
why is it that you have to leave it unplugged for 12 hours without shore power?

I left mine running without shore or truck power for about 8 hours with a bad battery. I would think that 12 hours with a new battery would be no problem.

On Full battery charge, we routinely go out the night before and fire up the fridge so it's cold for the weekend trip. I'd say you'd be good for around 24 hours if your battery is good and you don't run anything else to drain the load.

Tip: We also installed a battery disconnect switch so the battery doesn't drain too much between trips.

I just left mine for four days at Lake Isabella, running the reefer and sensors on dual Group-27 batteries. We had to come back for a couple of doctors appointments.

I just made sure they were well charged before I left, and this morning the battery monitor said "Good".
