No power from gen

Have a new '11 XLR 300x12 with an Onan 5500 gas gen. Worked fine on our first outing. Went out today and needed to do some stuff inside, but didn't want to drag the cord out so I started up the genset and ran it for probably 30 min. with no problems. Later in the day went back out and started the gen up, but noticed the trailer never switched over to the power from the gen. Normally this usually happens in less than a minute. Tried several times off and on. Checked the two 30 amp breakers on the gen itself and cycled both. Checked all breakers inside. All to no avail. I drug out the cord and plugged in. When on shore power, I get full power inside. When I unplug shore power, I still get nothing from the gen. What am I missing?

Well, it switched over with no rhyme or reason. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

Remember with Onans if they are NOT making power they will shut down as soon as they start, knowing this tells me the gen is making power. May have an intermittent issue with the transfer switch.
