The standard vent fan in the lavatory of my TT is controlled by a wall switch and if the wall switch is on, it can be shut on / off with the switch on the fan... This is the same arrangement as the fan in another part of the trailer BUT the bathroom fan is different.. The picture attached shows what appears to be a junction box installed on the bathroom fan framework with wires coming in and out of it... The other fan has no junction box at all (both fans are identical except for this)... any idea why a junction box is used on this fan only?? Just wondering...
Possibly a GFI wiring connection between the two fans?

The fans are on separate circuits, but since everything in the bathroom must be GFI protected (outlet is a GFI), that might be it.. The switch for the fan is right above the sink... I will test the bathroom GFI outlet and see what the bathroom fan does... but then again, the fan is 12 vdc, not 110 vac as is the outlet.. Thanks
my guess would be simply a junction box. but don't understand why there and not on the other fan. i have something like that but there is a push button switch on the bottom.
haven't heard of a gfi on a dc circuit (not saying they don't exist just not n my limited knowledge base).
Possibly a GFI wiring connection between the two fans?
I've never heard of a ground fault interrupter on a 12v DC
device. It would not be necessary as this low voltage
is not considered hazardous to your health!
I hate those little "WHINEY" fans! They make more
noise than a big fan (Maxx Air or others) but move little
air.
