noisy AC

I've searched all the threads and found one from 2014 about a noisy AC where Evereddie opened the cover on his unit, found the intake/outflow barrier wall reversed, corrected the position, and that seemed to reduced the noise.

I will have DH look into that but wondered whether anyone had added an aftermarket baffle to their Airxcel AC (called a Coleman-Mach in the manual).

The manual doesn't address troubleshooting noise and we're planning a long trip this spring and summer and I REALLY don't want to turn up the TV every time the AC clicks on.

Saw a product called RV AC silencer from Wacko (not sure I want to purchase anything from a company called that, but that's another story...). Anyone have experience with baffling the noise with such a product?

Thanks!

Yes many have installed the silancer. You should be abale to pull up a search. I read a thread within the last 2 weeks.

Thanks cavie. I found it.

I had looked all over for "loud AC" Never occurred to me to put in Wacko AC silencer!
Appreciate the response.

I made my own. The only problem is when it got real hot outside - most of last summer, I had to re-open the air dump in order to get the inside temperature comfortable. 30' class C with only one AC unit. With the dump closed I could barely get 10 degrees below the outside temperature (above 88 F). AC ran continuous all day long.

My AC is pretty loud also. We just Keep the fan in the low position at night and high during the day. It runs continuously but we do not get the on and off cycling. This is not a fix but it seems to make the trailer more comfortable and the sound is always the same.
