Not so fantastic fan

I did a quick search but didn't find any info on servicing the fantastic fans. We have the basic model in our bath. It is a 2015 so just a year old and still under the extended warranty. It is getting noisy. When running on either speed it squeaks. I tried a good shot of WD40 And it didn't help. Any suggestions on how to quiet it?

WD-40 isn't actually a lubricant so try some some light machine oil.

Better to contact the FF people as they're support is fantastic (pun intended). I once had a problem with the plastic surround melting while my A-frame, years out of warranty, was stored in the Phoenix summer heat. I contacted them about buying replacement parts. They asked what year trailer. When told, they said that was the year they tried another plastic formulation that didn't work out. They sent me all the parts I needed to repair the fan free of charge. Now, THAT'S customer service.

You say it "squeaks" well I think it's a sealed motor so WD40 will not help. Is it loose in the housing the 14x14 opening and the blade is making it move, is it reversible? will it also do the same thing? might need a new motor then.

Not reversible. I will take the screen off and see if anything is loose. I don't feel anything but can't get to the motor with the screen on.

The light weight oil might help too.
Thanks!

search for youtube videos on cleaning and taking apart fantastic fans to take everything apart... motor should not squeak... the fan might be loose in the housing and it rubs slightly somewhere

Warranty

I thought Fantastic Fans had a lifetime warranty. I would call the factory and check.

I have a quick question since e you say it is a 2015 why are you trying to fix it here? just contact the fan company or better yet FR or the warranty company I am sure any of them will be happy to help you fix the fan. since you say it squeaked and it is a sealed motor it most likely has a bad bushing, so just have it replaced and then you and your family can get back to enjoying your coach for the summer?

If you mess with it you may void the warranty.

Here is the warranty info:
