How do you keep the trap from drying out?

It won't "dry out" in a couple of months in storage if it is full to start with unless its very hot. The problem is usually the result of "sloshing" the water out of the trap.

If the level in the trap is low enough when you park it, stinky air can find its way above the water level into the bathroom or kitchen sink.

some folks poor a little mineral oil in them for long term storage. I have not done this so don't know any results. Sounds good in theory.
