Question Phone jack?

I just noticed a phone jack mounted on the base of one of the dinette seats (under the table)...curious why and where the exterior connection to a phone might be? Or is this NOT a phone jack at all (even though it looks a lot like a phone jack)

I've got an external phone connection next to my cable/Satellite jack next to the external shower stuff on the back of the camper.

Could it be a modem jack? They look much alike, but the modem cable end is a bit bigger.

I don't think it is a modem jack....but then, I just got the TT and not much documentation...but pretty sure no modem in there. Does the Concertone have anything to do with a network connection?

You would have the modem. It would connect to the jack you have with a modem cable. I can't imagine that it would be that; it was just something to eliminate.

It's a phone jack. The outside connection may be next to the Cable/Sat hook-up. The phone jack on my trailer is in the same door as the Cable/Sat connections. They may be separate from each other or together. See photos attached.

I checked on the way out to work this morning, and sure enough there is a phone jack connection right next to the cable/sat connections. Looks just like the lower picture above.

Hmmmm....do some campgrounds offer phone service? LOL

Some long-stay places here in South Texas and the Valley area offer it. With the percentage of cell phone users, though, one would think these in trailer hookups will die off soon.

Makes sense, mounted near the cable/sat connection, one could plug in their sat box if the park offers phone lines
