Question Pink Mold on Ceiling

Pink mold is spreading on the ceiling of our Georgetown motorhome. It seems likely that we'll have to return our rig to the FR factory to take care of it. It has not come through the ceiling coating so we're not yet breathing it. We live in our RV so can't escape it. Anyone have this problem? What was the solution?

Is it mold or is it something coming through the wall paper stuff? The reason I ask is someone with a dynamax ( I think) had a pink discoloring coming through their walls. It was the glue or something starting to leech through.

If it is mold take it very seriously, it can cause very serious health problems. It does not have to come through the ceiling for you to breathe it. Mold spores can come from behind walls easily. I inspected a condo once that was great looking inside. When I took air samples the lab determined there was a mold problem. Come to find out the condo got wet during a hurricane and was not properly dried. If you don't have a moisture problem doubtful it is mold.

Pink Ceiling

We also have Pink on our ceiling, even though two separate techs have looked into the area above where it is pink have not seen any signs of water leaks and having set through numerous rain storms without any water coming in anywhere Forest River Warranty says it is due to water leaks ??. Another owner has a similar problem and his seems to be due to the seal on one AC unit not being installed properly, I will have my seal replaced soon.

So good luck on your pink ceiling and should you come to a solution I would be interested in your findings.
