Pop up lift cables/rear guide channel

I was trying to lift the roof of my 2014 mac246d and something in the rear lift mechanism must have caught or snagged underneath. The bracket that secures the rear cable guides broke. Has anyone experienced this on a camper that has only been raised/lowered maybe 20 times? Does fixing the bracket require full disassembly of the lift system as it appears that this is the only solution.

Can you repair the bracket and try lifting again? Or did the bracket break because it was was binding and you still tried cranking it up?

I had to change a pulley on a bracket on one of my pups. Just had to take the tension off the cable first.

Bracket broke when I tried cranking it. It had been sitting in the garage since thanksgiving so I thought my battery was dying without thinking further. I never would have imagined it being a problem with any of the lift system since it's essentially a brand new camper.

Can you get a pic of what broke? I had a similar problem once, and might be able to help if I had a pic.

I'm a little too truthful, I guess.
