Ok, I'll ask: WTH is a CONVERTER generator? Is that like an open-frame contractor generator? Or something else?

Different than an inverter genny. It will have a 12v outlet as well as the 120's. May also have usb's to charge cell phones. Not open fram, usually enclosed.

Can you send us a link of one? I'm curious. I know my Honda inverter generator has a 12 volt outlet for direct battery charging but it is more efficient to use a separate battery charger or the RV converter.

Dano, I believe you're incorrect.

Googled Energizer CONverter generator and there's NO such animal.

But there are lots of Energizer INverter generators.

So unless you have something that Google can't find, you have an inverter generator.

an inverter generator has nothing to do your 5th wheel's inverter.
it has to do with how the generator runs and puts out power.
