Power rear stabilizer legs

My rear stabilizer legs lower themselves and pulse as if someone was pushing the down switch every 30 seconds or so . Anyone got an idea why this happens?

Not quite sure what you mean? do they slip or is the motor pulsing? If it's the motor it has to be the rocker switch, and you either have to clean the contacts or get a new switch....

Not sure if this question already went thru. The power rear stabilizer legs drive themselves down when the 5er is parked and the continue to pulse down about every 30 seconds even after they have reached max down.

Like Glenn said, sounds like you have a bad switch.

On my Windjammer there's 4 screws that hold the switch on. Remove them and then pull the switch out and disconnect the power wire. Motor should stop pulsing. If the motor is still pulsing then you have a wiring problem. That can be difficult to trace.

OEM switch cost me $24.95 last August and had to be ordered thru Dealer and then Forest River.

Good luck.

I hate my power rear stabilizers, too slow, I can extend/retract manual ones so much faster with a cordless drill.

Agree with JP Camper:

If your problem proves costly then take a 9/16" deep-well socket, cut a grove in the end of it, put it on a 3/8" cordless drive. the other side of your elect-motor drive has the rod that will fit your modified socket. Simple, fast, and cheep.

Rear stabilizer jacks

I was frustrated with how slow the motor drove the rear jacks that I did exactly what DonandDona did, however, I removed the motor completely, cut a groove in a socket and use my cordless drill on the other end of the drive rod.

So what's the hurry on the stab jacks? You folks need to slow down and enjoy life. So it take 10-15 seconds to run the jacks down, grab a beer or a cup of coffee while you're pushing the switch.

X 2. Plus no one near will hear the drill. My particular favourites are the folks who use a hammer drill or impact driver lol

My rear stabilizers do almost the opposite. The remote will run them for a few seconds and then quit. Let off the switch. Press again. They run for a few more seconds and then quite. Wash, rinse, repeat until eventually they won't run up/down any more.

Change your battery see if that helps
