Finally installed a dissconnect on the the battery to keep it from going dead while not in use.
Also, there seems to be no temp control for the fridge and its to cold, some items begin to freeze while using, is there any fine tuning to adjust the temp? Its in a 2000 model camper.

Hi again Bikeman,
Can I call you Bike for short??
Some refrigerators have a lever up high inside the
fresh food compartment on the right side. It's not really
a dial like you may be looking for, do you have one??
OR some have the ability to move the little temp
sensor higher or lower inside the compartment. I guess
that moving it lower would make the refer slightly less
cold and moving it up would make it tend to run more
and get colder.
Do you have this setup??
If you have an environment switch, I'd shut it off any
time you are on battery power.
It should not do anything if the fridge itself is off but
it's going to use more than twice the battery power
when it's on.
Finally, I've heard about an aftermarket control board
for Dometic refrigerators. It is adjustable I believe.
Can't give you a link right off hand but I bet someone
will.
The battery drain you refer too is pretty common.
Every trailer I've owned would eventually run down
the battery unless I installed and used a battery
disconnect switch.
The power center/charger itself is a drain when the trailer
is not plugged in unless you shut off the battery switch.
Hope this helps!
