Refrigerator Issue on Rockwood 8314SS

Hello all,

I am new to RVing and just bought a used 2007 Rockwood 8314ss. I am having a problem getting the refrigerator to work on gas. I plugged the trailer into a 15 amp circuit just to checkout the fridge. I turned the fridge on auto and it cools fine. But if I switch it from auto to gas, is doesn't cool. I opened the panel on the side of the trailer behind the fridge and I don't hear anything running. I lit the stove and hot water heater to ensure the gas is on. They work fine.

Am I doing something wrong? I appreciate any help.

Thanks

Earl

How long was it on the gas setting when you checked it? I've noticed on mine that it takes awhile before it cools down in the gas setting.

You won't hear anything unless it's super quite where you are. The flame on the fridge is only slightly bigger than a pilot flame so there's not a lot of noise.

When you press the gas button on the fridge, if it's calling for cool, you should hear a clicking from the igniter when it trys to light the flame.

Does the "check" light come on when the unit is set to gas operation? That means that the flame didn't light.
