Removing TVs In Winter
Need some advise if I should remove the TVs in the winter when storing. I live in Michigan where it can get cold

I live in Michigan also and have our trailer parked on our property north of Gaylord. Have never taken the TV out and have not had any problems. If you plan on using it during cold weather just make sure the trailer warms up before you turn it on.

Lol could you imagine rv dealers taking out hundreds of tv's and then storing them , then trying to figure out which tv went where let alone damage control ?

I unplug our TV's and plug them when we resume camping.....let them "warm up" for a few minutes and then turn on......Why leave them plugged in for months????? J

have left ours in for 5 years during the winter, no issues. some people take them out when they store the units storage lots since they tend to have units broken into and steal TVs and batteries etc.

Yes you can leave them in. However, LCD tv's are more susceptible to freezing. The manuals may tell you not to store them below a certain temperature. Doing so may void the warranty.

I hauled a load of tv's out of chicago that had been sitting in a van trailer for 2 mo.
I picked them up in February.

I leave the one tv in the lite and plugged in.
There is no power to the lite so.......

Leave it in. I have TV's in a house in the UP that gets closed up in the winter and I have never had a problem. Biggest NO-NO turning it on when it's cold. Do not use it until it has had at least 24 hours to warm up from the cold. If you don't winter camp you will not have a problem.

I leave electronics out all the time. Work as a broadcast engineer doing winter events on the side of a mountain! -40 F and use battery blankets. The TV's just worked!

Think of the lcd screens in your vehicles.
-45c here in winter, displays are a little slow, but work fine when warmed up.
