Replacement Cargo Doors

Hi All,

I have a Forrest River 26TBSS from 2008. The rear cargo door on the right side is bulging at the bottom, as if there's a wood core between the plastic laminations sucking up water. A replacement door from the dealer is $107, but I asked if it was wood or fiberglass they said it would be the same as what I've got already. I got another quote from an Internet source for $257 for a Fiberglass door.

Is there any other places I can get a 15-3/8" x 39-3/8" replacement door with the rounded corners that won't end up with the water problem in 3 years for less than $150? Seems like the prices are wayyyyyyy out of line here. If I had my own machine shop I'd just take a big piece of UHMW and make it myself.....

Any ideas on where I can get replacement doors for a reasonable amount? Thanks.

There is a guy on this forum who installed a couple of windows in a fairly new camper. It looked like a great job. Maybe he can provide assistance. Do a search and you may get lucky.

try the surplus stores in the Elkhart area. I would also try calling Forest River and see what they have.
