Replacement Vent/Register

I have a micro lite 23FBKS. Rolled out ou bed (Murphy) and stuck my foot through the vent/register on the backside of the dinette. I have done some google searches for a replacement with no luck. Wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jeff

Find a good wood craftsman or find a metal one that size and paint to match.

Not sure what size that opening is in your picture, and I’m not talented enough to fake some woodworking replacement......

But is it possible to replace it with a heating/air conditioning vent from one of the big box stores? (Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc). 🤔

If you have the pieces, how about a light touch of gorilla glue. The stuff is crazy strong. I assume the grille is some type of fibre board. Follow directions for use and remember it expands a lot so use sparingly

Try one of those big box stores such as HD or Lowes. They usually have many sizes in stock that are rated to be floor (walking on) strength. If they don't have the color needed, they do have a rainbow of color spray paint that you can buy and paint it before install.

It would be easy for me to make one that is more substantial, but matching the color is a little tougher.

I'd use some 3/8" oak plywood to make the grill and try to find either some matching or contrasting stain to color it with. You won't kick through that. I'd be glad to make you one, but you'd probably be better off finding a woodworking buddy and have them make it.
