Rockwood 1640 ltd

Okay Fellas, we just took our Rockwood 1640 ltd camper out for the first time. Plugged it into 110, we had power to our plug-ins but none to the ceiling lights. Also the green light for the carbon monoxide was not on, which we were told should be on when we set the sink upright, as it sets a switch. Anybody have any suggestions? We finally just gave up this evening, came back home and will go back to the camper tomorrow and try to get it working. We just went 15 miles from home, luckily, so not very far to travel. Looking forward to your input. Probably will need to re-read the fridge operation also, but will look through the manual. I believe Rockwood should put out a better manual on thier campers. Thanks for all the anticipated help.

you haven't mentioned whether you have a 12v battery or not.

Most ceiling lights are 12 volts. Check for a blown fuse or bad battery connection, the detector most likely works off of 12 volts also.

i know it has a 12v system, i'm asking if you have a battery hooked up.
the lights and CO2 run on 12v power and your popup may need a battery in order to run, even if you're plugged into shore power.

then the battery needs to be tested first.

not sure how the converter works on the popup. it may not be recharging the battery, if the battery is good.
or if the battery is good, it may have been hooked up backwards and tripped the inline breaker.

I have a Rockwood 1940 LTD - the first thing I'd do is flip the sink over and check the wires that connect to the "red button" safety under the sink. Sometimes those wires come loose when you flip up the sink. If those wires aren't connected, the lights and CO detector won't operate.
