Roo microwave wattage

Hi everyone,

I just ordered a new Roo 19 and i'm trying to find out the power requirements of the microwave that comes with it. I have a honda 1000i generator and was hoping i can use this to power the microwave.

You can always make the microwave run at %50 or %60 percent efficiency and your generator should be more than enough ? I guess that requires the inverter technology in the microwave though ...Sorry more of a question then an answer.

The microwave in my unit is 900 watts I believe.

i can tell you that they use the same MW in the whole line and my '07 Roo's MW needs more than your 1000.

i have a Honda 2000 and my MW kicks the 2000 out of eco-throttle to its max rpms.

i'd look to sell the 1000 or buy a 2000 and use the 1000 to parallel for the a/c.

My 2010 Flagstaff came with a Magic Chef Model MCD990ARB microwave rated at 900 watts.

However, that is the OUTPUT not the input power. I have to tell you that the microwave really ramps up my Yamaha EF3000 and has kicked it off line when we forget to go out and take it out of Economy prior to using the microwave. When we have the air conditioner on, the Yamaha MUST be in normal and handles BOTH the 15K AC and the microwave with no problem.

I am thinking the 1000 will not be able to handle much more than the TV/radio and charge your batteries.

Having said that, when my DW plugs in her hair curler and the AC compressor kicks on, it will trip the Yamaha off line.
Must be one of those 30 Horse Power curlers.

With your new Roo you will get a 800 watt microwave oven. The maker will be Hamilton Beach. We just bought a new mini lite 2011 and it has the same microwave than the Roo.
