roo23ss 2009 axles/grease question

I have the Roo 23SS HT i checked my booklet on the axles and wanted to find out what type i have.In the Al/Ko i assume i have a reg axle that uses reg grease for the fittings,What i want to know is these axles the EZ lube type ??? or reg type that i used when i had a popup.I see people had use this new type of be able to grease it .I beleive its a Buddy grease.Anyway if i have the dealer do it how do i know if they use the reg way to apply or these new ready made type. Is there a preference.

If it's got a grease fitting on the end of the hub, behind a rubber plug, you can lube it yourself. The excess grease will ooz back into the cap.

To add to Mike's advice.

Make sure you buy grease that meets the manufacturers criteria.

Get the tire off of the ground and spin in while using the EZ Lube hub. That should help keep any grease within the hub and not be forced into the brake drum area.

Don' overfill. When you get new grease coming out from around the outside bearings, stop there. Wipe some of old grease out. Be careful, as the grease cap can have a sharp edge.

Never used an air-powered grease gun !!

Here's what a Bearing Buddy looks like. They have a grey vinyl cap or "bra" (as they call it) that slips over the end of the part. The BB is chrome plated & pressed into the axle end.

Finally, when you take the "cap" off, you'll notice a spring inside around the "bore" pushing against the piston.

Thanks mike and all you guys now i know ill do what i been for years repack myself .lol do they sell a kit for new seals and such. Again thanks for the help
