So how many have had the roof material not glued well and balloons when running down the road ? saw this and had to stop the guy and let him know his 2 yr old wildwood did not have the roof material installed correctly and is about to rip off . maybe i can set up a poll to see how rampant this is . seems i have read about it before

BYDT. Had a man flag me down with that bad news on my former 5th wheel, a 2013 Rockwood. Forest River replaced the entire roof under warranty.

I noticed on my last trip that the front area of my Sonoma 167 RB flexes inward a lot above the rock guard material when in a headwind. Is this normal? Or is it not properly glued like the roof on the OP’s rig?

Had my roof do the same on a 2017 FR3 30 DS enroute from PA to South Florida last month. Had to get entire roof replaced while on the road. All I can say is thank God for Nationwide Insurance. I know the FR dealer wanted $10,000, not sure what they settled on. FR also kicked in some even though out of warranty. Told by dealer that the roof design has changed in current model.

I suppose the roof warranty is only for the material not the installation . FR should cover it all since if installed correctly it would not happen . like the old saying buyer beware

You got it. FR warranty is one year. Individual items are per the supplier, such as Ford, refrigerator, A/C, etc. They at least gave a courtesy warranty extension for labor hours to glue the delaminated section back down. None of the local dealers would do repair saying it would ‘t hold. Hence new rubber roof on top of new Luan layer.

this isn't individual item , the roof material wasn't a problem for this guy but the people who installed it did not do it correctly . wonder who that was , oh FR . if this was a fridge , ac ,converter then ok but it's a install issue . of course not here to debate that just wondering how rampant this seems to be . lucky me i got a unit with a good install or mostly good .

I see way to many trailers running down the road with this problem, just a rough number but I say 1 in 50 trailers I pass I notice this issue. Unfortunately they are going the other direction so I can’t let them know.

My TT did the same thing. Replaced entire roof membrane by dealer under warranty.
Took almost 3 months
