Roof repair suggestion

On our way to the campground this weekend our TV antenna broke off and was only held by the cable. This led to the antenna flopping around on the roof for some time and tearing a hole. Any suggestions on the best way to fix this? Unfortunately its right on the side seam area.

Yep, Eternabond tape will do it. I tore my roof last fall in multiple places due to damage striking a low hanging branch late at night. We used an entire 50 foot roll to repair the damage and the EB tape did great and allowed no leaks for another 9 months till we got the roof replaced.

Yes as Witch Doctor says,Eternabond draped over the edge, into the gutter rail! Cover exposed side area with a Small piece of Black Gorilla Tape or you will have to remove the gutter and reseal the entire length! Youroo!!

Yes your edge/gutter rail is Black it would "Just be a Cosmetic Cover" so you would not have to remove the Rail! Unless the White "Patch" is OK with you? Youroo!!

Eternabond tape is available in black, grey, tan and white from their website. Great stuff. I just did the seams on my roof as a preventive measure. Use lacquer thinner on a rag to clean and a roller so you get a good bond.

I recommend adding a bead of Dicor along all roof tape edges as a final step to help keep a/c run off from getting to the Eternabond tape.
I kissed a tree trunk and had similar damage.

Also had roof replaced. Insurance paid for it less deductible. Took several weeks to satisfy them even using a pre-approved shop.

What is the best way to clean the roof to prep it for the tape?

Will geocel proflex work in place of dicor?
