Sandpiper 302bhd A/C Issue

Traveling around this summer in a Sandpiper 302bhd and the A/C seems to take forever to cool down the camper. I'm talking four hours and a sunset to stop breaking a sweat.

Anyone else having this type of issue?

It's blowing, but not as cold as I expect it to. I am in Texas and the deep south and it's hot, but I don't think 90-100 degree days should be exacting this type of toll.

Thanks!
John

John, is this after driving in the heat and then setting up camp, it takes 4 hours to cool down? Ours takes a few hours to get down to comfortable level since the structure of the trailer and everything inside takes time to initially get cooled down after traveling in the heat of the day. Once cooled though, it stays cool as long as the kids remember to close the door when they come in and out.

Cheers, Keith

Yes, it is after driving in the heat. We are taking it in to the point of purchase (Camping World) this week to see if anything can be done to either bump up the output or maybe upgrade the A/C unit altogether.

Thanks,
John
