Sandpiper 379FLOK slide controller

Replaced batteries. Now slide out controller is giving a code of 1 green and the 9 red. Says it's convertor and motor hall power short to ground. Batteries were replaced one at a time so no cables were misplaced on wrong post. There was a few sparks when attaching the positive posts. Unit is in storage, and not enough room to let the Moryde steps down, to get inside to see if the slides are still working. Also cannot get to the fuse panel to check for blown fuse unless slides are out. Don't want to pull it out and try the slides if this would cause other issues. Any ideas what the code means, and if more damage would be done by trying to put the slides out?

Google is your friend.

I googled it and got the following. It's the slide-out room manual and it gives the "fault codes" and what they mean on page 2.

Hope this helps.
