Sceen/Add a room

Has anybody had any experience with the screen/add a rooms? Are they worth the price and how easy do they go together?

We got the "add-a-room" with our Flagstaff pop-up...a 625D. Was included in the package.

We have used it sparingly over the years...they are a bit of effort to put up and down...maybe adds 20 minutes or so to the set-up and 20 minutes to the tear down process. Kinda of a pain if it rains, too..gets muddy and makes a mess when you put it away.

All-in-all, I would probably not pay money to buy one...but...since we have it, we do use it when we are set-u for a longer term (4-5 day) excursion.

We had one with our first TT, came with it, we put it up once in front of the house. It fit well and looked like it was well built, had extra material to weight it down or steak it, even had a short piece that snapped on and covered the gap under the camper. It took us about 15-20min to get it out and set it up. We live in California and have no bugs so we never used it here and when we were in other states we never stayed long enough in one spot to need it. Carried it around for 4-5 years under the bed. Maybe if we lived in UP(upper peninsula of Michigan) use to have a fishing cabin on lake Gogebic with deer flies, black flies, horse flies and mosquitoes, I think we might have used it.
If you stay in one spot long enough to make it worth setting up and down, and if there is a need for it (bugs,) ya there great.
We also had a manual awning which made it easy to attach while it was tilted down.

We don't have a toad with our MH, so if we go sight-seeing from a CG, it's in the MH. We've found that a stand-alone gazebo works best, as it makes clear that the site is occupied even though the MH is absent. This is particularly useful on busy holiday weekends.

Good point about "reserving" your spot with the stand alone...am currently in the market to buy one...Craigslist seems to get a few...just waiting for the right price/model.

We had an add-a-room with our Roo 23SS and LOVED IT! Only put it up when we stayed some place for 4 or more days. Came in handy with our furkids. Kept them from wandering too far. Yes, it added about 15-20 minutes to set-up, but we feel it was worth it. We used the skirt all the time - kept the dogs out where we wanted them even without everything else set up. Last couple of times we had the Roo, I started using the front part (side of the awning) to provide privacy and to keep rain from the door. I could drop the privacy panel if the neighbors were too nosey or roll it up to provide some breeze.
