Shore power grounding

In May I bought a Salem T23FBS new from my local dealer. I have discovered that between the shore power connector on the trailer and the breaker box there is a two conductor (#10 solid) cable. As a retired electrician, I am confused as to why there is no ground wire. Everything
I have read (NEC included) and know says there should be one. Any explanations?

As a Electrician I would be confused too. I would think your service feed for a 30 amp would be 10/2 with ground. Unless they ground to the frame & then jump to the ground buss in the panel, but if there is not any ground in the panel ,I would take it back & tell them to fine it. I have a 30 amp services in my 2010 wildcat & it has the ground with the power feed. It just dose not sound right to me. NEC you have to have it no explanations that I know of.

I would just check the panel ground & see if you have 120v to ground. To see if you in fact have ground when plug in to shore power.

I agree there should be a dedicated ground from the shore power
cord to the breaker panel.
Are you sure they didn't run a separate wire??
Have you looked at the back side of the shore power socket
on the side of your trailer? I hope there is a ground wire there!!
If you decide fer sure there is no ground wire I'd get one on there
either myself or at the dealer.

With no ground it's not code and FR should not build them that
way!

With the price of copper way up I'm not surprised the mfg is
trying to cut corners and costs. I just yanked out my Concertone
and replaced it with a Jensen. I was surprised to find they'd ran
full size twin lead to all the speakers. The same size wire as the
lights. Those itty bitty surround sound speakers could have been
powered by a couple sizes
smaller wires. I imagine they are using smaller wire now. Mine is
2+ years old.
