Shower Spill-Off

We've just gotten started in a 2104S and had a little trouble with the shower. Water easily spilled over from the shower into a space between the shower and the cabinet. Water then leaked out the bottom of the trailer directly behind passenger side wheels. Is it possible to caulk the gap or is there a better solution? Suggestions.....

I think I've seen where someone has put a small piece of plexy glass at that spot. Hopefully someone can chime in or maybe do a search on this site.

If you can afford it - upgrade to a shower door.
Now on my third camper - this time it came with a shower door - The first one had same standing shower with curtain like yours - I will never do the curtain thing again - exception maybe for a "Tub" type bath like my second one, but if it is a standing shower like yours - once you have a door you will never want that funky mildew growing leaking curtain again -

I caulked that area soon after we picked our 1809S up & haven't had any trouble. Being you know it got wet make sure you dry it well - a hair drier works well.

I personally wouldn't want water to get on the cabinet at all. Here is another forum that may give you ideas.

Thanks...good replies. We will wait until the area's dry before caulking...if we do that. I was also looking at a corner shower/tub guard....not sure, yet.

If you don't stop the water from getting back there- You'll have floor and cab wood rot in short order.

The easiest solution is to apply some splash guards at the shower walls & get a shower curtain that's almost annoyingly long. Lowes has the splash guards for $16 each. (check lowes.com for Magic White Splash Guards)(Tried to insert a link but was unsuccessful). Use caulk in addition to the adhesive on the back of the guard. I caulked inside and out on the toilet side and did as well as I could on the cabinet side. No run off problems.

PS be sure to get the tall ones. I used 30" and have no problems.

You need something to help keep water off of your cabinet side. If you can get a thin piece of plexi glass cut to size for the side of the cabinet, slid all the way to the foor. Use some vecro tabs to hold it on/up and then use some clear shower caulk along the edge of the shower rim and plexi glass.

X2 on your fix Brother Les and caulk up the Plexiglas to the sidewall.

I picked up a tall splash guard yesterday and will try it out today. Area is dry and should be ready to caulk down. I hear you on the floor rot...that is exactly what I want to avoid.

Sounds great, I think someone advised to add some velcro dots on the curtain to dam keep from floating out.

I tried out the tall splash guard but the shower wall and shower base are not entirely square leaving too much gap at the top of the guard. Next guess is to try a combo of the caulk-tape along with regular caulk.
