Question Sidewall crack.

Last week while washing our camper I noticed a crack had popped up on the sidewall. I have been told that it's from the frame flexing. We purchased it new and this has just now showed up and I haven't towed it anywhere we haven't been at least twice before. Will Forest River help me out with this or will they wash their hands of it? I was told I could split it and insert a trim piece to fill the gap and relieve the pressure. Thanks for any help, and here's a pic.

It's below the bedroom slide.

That's a fairly common place to get a crack. Many manufacturers will actually put the cut there that you described for just that reason.

Just found a crack a couple of months ago on our 2014 F313RE Wildcat Maxx just like that one off one of the slides! The dealer thought it may be a broken weld, and referred us to Forest River to see of they'll take care of it. I have sent pictures to the service rep and waiting to hear back from him!
