Slide out inop

Slide out wouldn't retract yesterday after being at camp for three days. Had to manually retract. Today I checked the switch and there's no power at the switch. Checked the fuse in the main power panel and it's good. So, somehow I've lost power from the panel to the switch which is a straight run through the cabinets. Any ideas? Need to get this issue resolved ASAP as we're leaving on July 5 for a seven week trip across the US. Still under warranty so I will contact the dealer where I purchased (Shipshewana, Indiana) tomorrow morning to see if they might give me an idea as to what the problem might be.

I have to ask this question this way: You state that you checked the fuse and it's good. Did you check the wire directly as it leaves the fuse? Also, did you check the wire that goes to the switch just before it gets to the switch? I've seen both 12vDC and 120vAC circuits that did not work because there was a bad connection where the wiring left a fuse or circuit breaker and bad circuits where the wiring didn't make good connection at the switch. Good Luck

My 2007 HTT had a separate 30 amp fuse right under the slideout, along the frame.

I climbed under the slide out and looked for any wiring and the only thing I found was a light circuit for the over the dinette area. Of course the entire under belly is covered so I can't see anything else. One interesting thing you just mentioned was your's had a 30 amp fuse, my panel label says s/o hitch and it's a 15 amp fuse. I assumed that s/o meant slide out? The only 30 amp fuse is labeled T/W, and I don't know what that means.

Our HTT also has a 30 amp fuse near the slide out. Ours is mounted to the inside of the frame on the trailer. I found out about it because it was blown on our PDI.

From the responses I think I'll have to peel back the underbelly covering and look along the frame. Thanks.

Had a fuse blow to the slide on our last mini-lite. The fuse was in a weather protected inline holder between the battery and the slide, clipped to the inside of the frame.

Must add, this was outside the under enclosure and found by following wires that led from the battery box along the frame.

Thanks, I do have two red fuse holders that are between the batt disconnect switch and a 4 gang junction box that's mounted on the frame tongue . I'll check those.

Found the 30 amp fuse holder under the frame near the tongue, blown fuse, replaced and tried to operate slide out and fuse blew again, tried again with same results so I have a dead short somewhere. Hello hand crank until I get to repair facility. Thanks to all for your suggestions, much appreciated.
