Slide outs!!!

Hello I have a 2012 lacrosse 318 bhs and the slide outs will not work unless my battery is charged even though it is plugged in to shore power.

That is because the slide out needs 12 volt power to operate even plugged in as you see will not work so you need to make sure your battery is charged. I shut my 12 volt power off in storage so not to drain down.

Sounds like you need to check your converter, if it not working on shore power and it can t keep your battery charged even, then you have a converter problem, could be a fuse.

Your converter should be able to run all 12 volt slides and thing without even a battery, there is a test procedure in our library, if you can't find it let me know I'll post it again

How old is your battery? Might be hindering your system.

Your slide outs use more amps than the converter can supply so it needs the extra amperage the battery can supply.

Yes, but only if the reverse polarity fuses are good, the battery disconnect switch is on, and the breaker between the battery and trailer is not tripped.

Your power awning uses considerable less amperage to run than the slide motor.
