Squeaky floor.

I have a '08 Georgetown 350ts. Any tips or tricks on fixing a squeaky floor? It's near a slide out so I can't just lift the carpet. I would have to have the slide removed to access the edge of the carpet. I can tell there is a joint where the sub floor has come loose. Since I don't know how the joists are laid out or frankly how the floor is constructed I'm reluctant to just throw a screw through the carpet hoping to hit the joist or whatever else is down there to grab on to. There's got to be someone out there that has solved this problem without doing a slide removal. Thanks!
