Storm Damage?

A week before our maiden voyage in our Shamrock 19, a mean storm comes through town with huge straight line winds and lots of rain (blowing sideways mostly. I end up with a big limb on the roof of the '19, and water dripping in through the A/C unitNo water staining on the ceiling, just some dripping from the corner of the A/C. Has anyone else ever had water get into the roof A/C after a bad storm without it being related to damage to the exteriour part of the unit? I can't see any visible damage to the roof or the A/C, although I still have to get the roof completely cleared off.

It happened to us when a limb fell on our 21' hybrid. The limb punctured the roof slightly (on the edge). I thought it was minor and we ended up with severe de-lamination on the side panel. So I would suggest you do a thorough inspection immediately and look for very small punctures in the vinyl and seal it ASAP. I have never seen water coming through the AC.

The first two things I would do is inspect and call my insurance company. Have your dealer or RV service center inspect for you if you don't know what to look for. I have never had this issue with any of our trailers, but its always a concern.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Well, the good news is that the roof is being repaired and we will be on our way as scheduled Friday; The bad news is that the repair is a temp to get us through the week, and when we get back, the roof is going to be replaced, as it has multiple holes, slashes, tears etc. Since it's brand new, they're not messing around. Thank god for insurance!!
