They will save your RV. we carry a 50 amp surge protector and a 30 amp hughes surge protector when we travel. We have seen some strong surges that have fried several items within the coach parked next to us. Ours was not touched. The hughes Autoformer is also a transfromer that increases the voltage. That has saved our motor home in a couple of campgrounds as the voltage was down around 105-110 volts on the 30 amp side. there are several newer surge protectors and voltage increase products now and i am sure someone will come along and let you know about them. Consider it an invesment just as your RV.
