I have a 2008 Surveyor 264. I have a lot more tire wear on the inside of the left side tires then any other tires. I took it to an axle shop and they verified I have camber and toe problems. They told me that the torsion type axles on the Surveyor could not be repaired and would have to be replaced. A leaf spring axle apparently can be bent to correct the problem but not the torsion axles. The only fix according to the mechanic is to replace them. Can anyone verify that the Surveyor axles cannot be corrected and must be replaced? Unfortunately we are not the original owners of the trailer so I doubt that the factory will be very helpful. Any suggestions besides rotating my tires frequently would be appreciated.
frishbyh, we have the sister SV 263 to your SV 264. We haven't driven ours far enough yet (~1000 miles) to notice tire wear, but I am keeping an eye on things. The bottom enclosure where the fresh water tank is located rests on the rear axle, so I want to make sure that doesn't cause a problem with anything.

It seems strange to me that both axles would be bent the same way. JBarca over on RV.net did an excellent write-up about axle alignment. You might want to check it out just to educate yourself. His was for spring hung axles but the measurements woud be applicable to the torsion axles too.

I actually had a similar problem with a new 255RKS this summer. Bought it in Oct last year, and took it on it's first big trip this summer. Put 3000 miles on it and the front right tire was missing the outside ring of tread be the time we got home from the trip (not to mention many other manufacturing problems).
