Two comments: (1) I just replaced my cheap vent fan with a new Fantastic 8000R and turned on the switch and nothing happened. I even wired the fan directly to the fan (minus the normally closed vent cover switch) by- passing the speed and reversible switches and the fan still doesn't work. I have voltage going where I should. I even hooked up my old fan and it worked great. Think I got hosed. Bummer because it took a few hours I feel I wasted. Don't think so but possible missing something? Wishful thinking. I'll have to call ther factory Monday. (2) Pulling out the old vent fan I was amazed what my roof comprised of. Looks like about a 1/32" piece of wood, about 1.5 inches of styrofoam, and another 1/32" of wood. That is it!. Dealer said I could walk on the roof but not sure now. I know there are beams up there but spaced every 2FT? I couldn't even get the screws to bite in the roof even going with a larger size. The roof's rubber coating was about a 1/64" cover. Is this a normal roof and can I walk on it? Looks and feels cheap. Thanks
