Talk to me about air compressors
Help me find a good compressor and accessories to use on my Forester 3051s. Tires call for 80 psi.

The viar fits in a small bag, does 150psi and doesn't require 110.

Not really caring about being 12 volt. Hoping not to spend $300 on something to top my tires of a couple times a year but it looks like I might have to.

It would be helpful if needed on the side of the road.
Slow leak, top it up until you get somewhere to repair it.

There are others for less out there, I do like being able to take just the tanks if that was all I needed.
Move the motor and compressor outside with the tank inside for quick hookups and less noise...

There are lots of options for a 120V compressor. I may get one of these for home when my current compressor gives out.
I just ordered a Viair 400P automatic 12V portable compressor to keep in the truck for pumping up the TT's tires at camp and where it's stored. Of course, it will work for the truck's tires, too. I didn't opt for the RV version because I don't need more than 25' of hose and I opted for the 33% duty cycle 400P vs. the 100% duty cycle 450P because I can't see ever needing to run the compressor for more than 20 minutes constantly.

In the Wildcat basement I have a 110v compressor I got from Harbor Freight.
On my TV I recently installed a 2 gallon Viair and love it. I hard mounted it so it's not portable. I plumbed it to fill my airbags, blow the triple airhorns, and an auxiliary air line for tires. It puts out 150psi. I got it from Amazon for less than 200.

An air compressor is one of those things that, once you own one, you ask yourself how did you ever do without one. There's just so many uses besides just airing up tires.

Craftsman 120 volt portable air compressor $55, have used it for 3 years for RV and Truck does great if you are looking just to top off tires. I liked it that well that I bought the 12 volt model just in case we are on the road, I have only used this a few times manly for our trailair hitch, it also has worked well.

I have a 12volt Puma that shuts off at 135 psi. Has a small tank. Love it.
