the seams on the camper were not sealed properly

Our camper is a flagstaff 2003 and we have had it for 2 years and we loved it until recently we noticed the sides started to bow up by the top in front by the seams and we hadn't even went anywhere with it. We took it to someone to look at and they told us that when the camper was made the seams were never sealed properly so now we have water damage, They have to peel back the sides take out the windows and replace the plywood and seal everything back up. We have full coverage on our insurance but it doesn't cover that. We aren't rich people (very far from it) so this is very devestating to us. I had to get this off my mind. We were so excited only to be very dissipointed. I don't know that I would ever buy another forest river product again. Do they care about there workmanship? It's not money out of there pocket.

Sorry to hear of your troubles Carol but they aren't specific to Forest River. All RVs manufacturers have similar problems. Out of the 1000s of RV made and sold there are bound to be a few that go out the door when they shouldn't. I have heard the same complaint about every maker out there so you aren't alone.

Have you contacted Forest River with your concerns and the statements of the shop you took it too? You have nothing to loose by contacting them and asking for help and explaining your situation.
