Things that make you go Hummm

Well there have been numerous posts over the last year or so on poor A/C flow our of some vents. So I decided to take ours apart today and have a look. Suprise Suprise, there is actually masking tape covering 50% of the ducts on doth sides of the unit and I cut out about 1 1/2 inces of foam as well. huge difference. Also have a look at how I found the bolts securing the A/C unit, 2 we out at least an inch. We are real lucky that we have not had any leaks around the unit.

Hmmm. You have to wonder what the installers were thinking when they put the cover on to finish the job. On second thought, it appears they weren't.

I've seen similar idiotic workmanship in my unit. In my opion it's simply a lack of work verification and quality controls.

I have to wonder what type of quality program they have at the factory?

Just had mine into dealer .
They found a few leaks right at the unit and no panel around the unit on the inside allowing air to move freely within the ceiling.
