Tips to fix inside ceiling damage?
Hi. We have a "new to us" 235RS. It is in great shape. My only issue is that there appears that there may have been some slight water damage down the antenna shaft in the past. There are some small blisters in the one feet area around the antenna. There is also a spot about 6-8" in diamater where you can feel it is hollow sounding like there is just the plastic ceiling paper. We have had it for about 2 months and the other night we had a monsoon of a thunderstorm and I noticed there was some water drops/spray on the floor with some dripping from the antenna shaft. It has rained 5-6 times in the last two months but this is the only time it appears to have leaked. I should mention that the rain was almost horizontal.
I see from other posts that I can apply silicone spray and/or replace the ~$8 gear and o-rings but what can I do about the ceiling? At home, I would remove the affected spots and apply drywall compound etc.... is there any type of proven repair technique for small damaged spots on the ceiling?
I really don't want to have to have the dealer replace a whole roof panel it possible.
Thanks.
