Tongue jack

OKAY. time for a new tongue jack. Went camping this weekend at Crooked River State Park in Ga, (BUGS) and the tongue jack would go up, but not down! I always knew it was crappy, but I guess the luck of the Irish just ran out for me! Anyway, after manually cranking this thing down a couple of times, (Whew!!!) I'm ready for a replacement. Any suggestions? Mine was a LCI lippert jack. Thanks, Randy

If it goes one way and not the other it may just be in the switch, or a connection. Might be an easy fix?

I just bought a power jack on ebay to replace my manual jack, but haven't received it yet. Under $100 shipped.

I'm sure there are plenty of nicer ones out there for more money.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, just corrosion on the switch, more than likely. BUT....I have been waiting for this to die anyway because I read on here how the older LCI Lippert jacks were noisy and not very dependable. So, I may just replace it. As a side note; this tongue jack is grounded to the frame via the 3 bolts that hold it on. A little rust, and you lose continuity on the jack, and it quits. Randy
