Topper tear

Within a few weeks of my new topper installation, a midwest thunder storm tore a 6" corner of it loose from the mounting track along the top of the trailer. The tear is right along the track. The dealer suggests their only option is to replace the entire topper fabric. I am looking for a repair of the current situation. What expert advice do you all have?

Dealer is correct. Replace the fabric. I've never seen a repair in that area that will hold.

replace is the only true repair option.

You could possibly trim down the width of the current fabric to get rid of the rip, but then you would reduce the coverage of the topper.
