Toy Hauler loading door

I have a 2020 Salem Cruise Lite 211SSXLC.
I loaded my Harley Davidson Ultra Classic
3 times and the weight of the bike has bent the loading door/ramp there is an indentation on the inside and a protrusion on the outside of the door. The frame is bent where it no longer will seal. 2 1/2 weeks waiting on a warranty determination from Forest River. “Still under review”.
Anyone else have this issue?
Thanks
Don

Who told you it was still under Salem’s review? The dealer? Or did you contact Salem directly?

How heavy is the bike+rider when you’re loading it?

When son had his enclosed trailer for the bikes, he put down metal ramps to help distribute the weight better because he saw the door flex on his when loading his 'Deluxe' on the trailer the first time. A lot of weight in a small footprint.

The dealer and about 1000 lbs. I know that’s a lot of weight but prior to the Forest River I had a Gulf Stream Track & Trail, with the same bike and no issues whatsoever.

Agreed, that is a lot of weight but in my opinion the manufacturer, in an effort to make the units lighter, necessary stability and strength are being sacrificed.
Did your son lay a loading ramp on top of the door?

Contact Salem and get the straight scoop. Dealers are known to tell stories at times.

Also, if it’s a MorRyde door, it could be worth reaching out to them directly, too.

We have a FR Graywolf 26rr which probably has the same ramp. The ramp is rated for 3000#. Loaded & unloaded our Ultra Classic many times without a problem.

Thank you. I was hoping this was an isolated issue that could/should be rectified.
