Trailer Harness PLUG

On our last trip back from Central Texas I kept having to stop and push in on the Trailer PLUG to the TRUCK PLUG. There was plenty of slack but it just seemed like the plug wasn't making good contact. Any ideas? I wish there was sort of a twist lock type of plug to make sure it's secured.

mine has a tab that locks in behind an ear on the truck plug cover that folds open to allow you to plug into the truck

Mine too. Must be the style Ford uses. You could always changes yours out for that style RubenZ. Gotta be an easier way though.

Hmm, I never even thought to check if mine does that. Any other GM owners out there with the HD trailering Pkg can verify? My truck's not my daily driver So its back at home.

I have a 2005 2500hd with tow package and yes it has a locking tab from the lift up cover that hold conector in place .
also they do push hard to lock into place !

Thanks GUYS! I can't believe I never even knew of that. Maybe I haven't been pushing the plug in as far as it should go.
