TV Analogue to Digital

Hi guys

I understand that in August the US will switch from Analogue to Digital. So if I am using my antenna I will need to by a TV convertor...or has my 2011 Rockwood already got this installed somewhere?

Any help greatly appreciated.

most broadcasters and cable companies have already made the switch. depending on the type of tv you have you may not need to get a converter. most newer tvs have a built in digital tuner. i highly doubt and trailer maker is installing any thing to convert the signal.

TV convert to digital

Hey Brit, your TV is digital and analog. To get TV stations in the US (Most have switched to digital). You have to put your TV in the scan mode to find the local stations. Put your antenna in the UP position. Turn on the antenna Amplifier (Inside the cabinet under your TV) There is a button
on the Coax connector board. You also have to select ANTENNA in the scan set up mode! When you switch back to cable, you have to go back to the (CABLE) selection mode, turn off the amplifier (green light in the cabinet under the TV)

By the way how many tires have you had to go bad? What brand of Chinese were they? What brand did you switch to?
I have the same Rockwood as you. 8285 WS (I think)

Hi Sid

We have been using the antenna and cable for two months already, except we saw the ads about having to get a box, the ads did not say you will only need a box if your TV is older than Noah, so panic over

Yes we have the same rig.

The Chinese tires were "Trail Express", C rated 6 ply, one blew after 250 miles the second after 750 miles, I changed all four to Chinese "Commodore" E rated 10 Ply.

Apparantly there are only Chinese made Trailer tires in North America!

i thought the switch had taken place in early 2009. the exception was supposed to be low power stations.
all tv's sold in the united states had to have digital capabilities at least by 2009. i believe that rule went into effect in 2006 or 2008.
ur tv should be digital capable. i bought a set last year and wanted to make sure it still had analogue capability. was told they all did and mine did even though they didn't say so.
cable systems (here) are still analogue as well as digital.

The United States switched to digital over the air in 2010. Canada will start switching in August this year. If your television has a digital tuner (ATSC) you simply need to do a channel scan as already mentioned. If your television does not have a digital tuner you can buy a converter box for around $100.

Thanks Norm, I discovered my TV has digital capability so no need for a set top box. For those who may need one Walmart have them for $49.00
