If all else fails, break out the owners manual! I think I have found my problem. My TV does not have a audio out using the RCA cables. It has to be an optical cable which the ZX700 does not support. I believe that may be your problem too kappel15. I always use my dish while camping anyways so I can get that audio thru the overhead so I am not going to worry about it too much. If I decide to use the over the air antenna I will just have to settle for the audio coming from the TV.

On my unit you also need to make sure the audio input cable is plugged into the audio output on the TV. I just had this issue as I removed my TV from the wall during travel and hooked it up wrong. Had no sound thru the Concertone, but did have it thru the TV, until I plugged cable into the audio out. I had it in the video in on the TV.

Don't remember the page, but it is the page with the back view showing the connections and there is also a page showing how to hook up an external amplifier and it only shows using the optical cable. What size is your TV? Mine is 26".

Koodog,
What size is your TV? I am guessing that some TV's have the audio out while other do not. Only plug labeled audio out on mine is the optical one.

i think the screenitself is 22 1/2. what are you refering to about 'optical cable? also in my manual, it talks about the panel below the tv, and having it set to mp3/tv, and having jacks plugged into the far right two holes.

Here is a link to the spec sheet to my TV. The second page shows a picture of the back of the TV in which you can see there is no RCA audio output. They are all labeled in.
