Tv no reception

I have spent some time trying to figure out why I can't get local stations on our TV. It is a 20" LCD flat screen. It plays DVD's no problem. I raised the antennae and have unhooked and rehooked the coax cable on the back of the TV and the antennae with out any luck. It says there is no signal on the screen. What should I try next?

Look for the panel inside the trailer (and usually close to the TV set) that has the TV connectors on it. There should be a very small switch on the panel which turns the antenna amplifier on/off. It is probably operates by pushing it in. Activate this switch and you should get a signal from the antenna if it is properly connected to the TV.

FYI, Once or if the tv is connected correctly, then you may have to go to the menu on the tv and do a auto scan, this will allow the tv to pick up all the channels that it can receive in the area. This a digital tv right?

As far as digital TV I guess I am assuming that it is. I have a Digital Convertor box in the attic that I will hook up and try I guess it can't hurt.

If you are more than 30 miles from a tower or are in a state/federal park you might just be SOL. My will not work in either or if over 30 miles away. But in town it works fine.

Are you using a digital convertor box? There aer no more analog local channels, you need the digital box to convert the signal.

I get nothing in my TT unless I use a convertor box.

Newer TVs have digital tuners so you can use them with the regular old antennas. Older TVs with analog tuners require the digital box converters.
