Upgrading Stereo in Rockwood Ultralite

Looking for a source that might have a workable solution for replacing the stock stereo/CD player. Not great quality, and would like a bit more wattage along with a ipod dock. A bit hard to find as the stock one sits vertically in the wall. Most of these after markets sit flat and will be hard to adapt to the space. Don't know where to start looking. Have looked in future shop, best buy and source to no avail. Anybody out there????

Okay, hold on. Went to the Jensen website and found a treasure trove of options in stereos. No additional info required.

What are ya towin with.

4Runner,

What do you tow your 2306s with? I tow with a Chevy TB. Moved up from a Funfinder, which was about 1000 lbs less. Notice a difference, but TB still does a pretty fine job.

I also changed to a Jensen AWM 970 and it plays fine but I have two
complaints with it.

One big complaint- the remote is the size of a credit card and very hard
to use without glasses. The buttons are so small it's hard to use with
glasses!
Two- it doesn't have weather frequencies.
Also it's not surround sound but in a space the size of my little trailer
stereo with bass boost is plenty good enough.

Nice set up. We have a 2502s mini lite. Never use the stereo, always bring along our XM Radio for outside. Our TV is a 2011 Tundra, upgraded from an 03 Tacoma, big difference!

Stereo Upgrade

Hi 4runner,

Always admired Toyota trucks. I am looking at the Jensen JRV210B. Good point about surrondsound. It does not mention whether it has it or not, but ur right about small space. This model has an ipod dock and we have most of our music thereon. List is 299.00. We just got our Rockwood, so will have to let the dust settle before I break it to the "Little Woman"/Comptroller that I need to spend more. Not an immediate project, so will look around a bit. Who handles Jensen products? I guess you can order straight from the "net".

Here's an Ebay power seller who has "more than 10"
at $200 bucks with free shipping.

AWM970IP AM/FM/DVD/CD/USB/MP3 Ready Wallmount Stereo | eBay

Apparently they are marketed for marine/RV use so the tiny
remote is "water proof".
Donno why you'd want to use the remote in the rain but it works.
It's just small.
If you like to fast forward thru the commercials in home recorded DVDs the
tiny remote is an issue.
If you push play and drop the remote for the remainder you'll be fine.
