Question Using Ipod and Ipad on Genesis GT3.0

My husband and I just bought a Rockwood 2012 Windjammer. There is a Genesis GT3.0 Stereo System installed in it. I wanted to play my Ipod or Ipad for music through the system but I guess I am not smart enough to figure out how to make it work. The mannual that came with the Genesis offers very little help. I tried to connect it to the USB port on the front of the unit but that didn't work. Can anyone give me some advice on how to make the Genesis system work with either the Ipod or the Ipad.

It will not work with ipod! It'll charge it but nothing else
You have to use a 3.5 mm ear phone jack you should also have an ear phone jack on your genesis.

Thought mine would work also through USB, no such luck. I used 3.5mm jack as well and worked fine.

x2. Both music and phone works nice over Bluetooth for IPhone, iPad, iPod with the Genesis.

Try turning the screen off (standby) to stop the hiccups. On my Jeep with uConnect u sometimes have to go to standby to stop the skipping with Bluetooth.

I use the bluetooth linked up with my blackberry with no problems. I avoid anything with a cord (USB) because it worries me sticking out of the front of the Genesis. I'd hate to snap it of if I bumped into it.

lol well mine is not in a location that is easy to get to for one. normally they are facing the isle but mine is near the wall facing the door. had to take it out and set it on the counter top to be able to see it. someday i will make a new case for it..
